QUICK ACCESS MENU
When navigating with the keyboard, a menu allowing quick access to the main areas of the pages (Top of page, Menu, Main content, Footer) appears first.
LOGO
At the top of the page is the MIST logo, allowing you to return to the home page of the site.
SEARCH ENGINE
At the top of the page (or in the menu on a smartphone) a search engine allows you to search the site.
CUSTOMIZING THE DISPLAY (READING AND CONTRAST)
The site offers a tool allowing you to modify the display of the site according to your needs.
To access this feature, click on the “Accessibility” button (present in the menu at the bottom of the page) then “Contrast”. In the window that appears, you can:
– choose increased contrasts; increase line spacing.
This settings window can be used with both the mouse and the keyboard. Use the “tab” key to move from one setting to another. To change the setting, use the arrow keys.
Choose the “close” button to exit the settings window. The selected settings are saved automatically.
KEYBOARD NAVIGATION
The site has been designed to allow keyboard navigation on all pages. In most cases, you simply need to use the Tab key on your keyboard to navigate successively from one clickable element to another clickable element on the page. Conversely, if you want to go back in the opposite direction of reading, use the Shift + Tab key combination.
To enable this feature with the Safari browser on a Mac:
– click on Safari in the upper left corner of your screen, then select “Settings”.
– go to the “Advanced” tab, then in “Accessibility”, make sure that the option “The Tab key highlights objects on web pages” is checked.
PRINTING
Keyboard users, you can print any page of the site by accessing the desired page and then simultaneously pressing the Ctrl + P keys on your keyboard if you are on a PC or Cmd + P if you are on a Mac.
